It’s a shortened version of the Japanese expression sutto haku būtsu, which means slip-on shoes or shoes you can put on in the blink of an eye.
In the Japanese syllabary, the word SUBU is spelled like this: スブ. Hence, the two dots allude to the Japanese spelling of the character ブ .
It’s possible to clean them in a washing machine but to be on the safe side, hand washing in tepid water is recommended. Please refrain from using drying machines as they may deform the EVA layer of the sole.
Yes, we plan on gradually changing the colour palette. Every year, one or two new models will be launched (this year Pop Art Collection) but some of those currently available may disappear!
Above all, SUBU offer warmth so it’s best to wear them in autumn and winter, when the temperature is around 0⁰C – 10⁰C.
